  • Shon has been a guest teacher at our school for the last term, and in that time l have found him to be an enthusiastic and interesting instructor. He has a relaxed and patient teaching style which engaged our students and encouraged open discussion about Cheng Man-Ching and what he taught. He is eager to pass on his knowledge and took pains to explain what he was teaching and how it was relevant to what we teach at our school, although different in form execution the fundamentals cmc teaches and what we teach is the same and this I found most pleasing.

Our students, (and myself for that matter), took great interest in the cmc foundation training and exercises for the achievement of song. I believe they will be of great value, and help in our taichi journey. I would like to thank Shon for the time he has spent at our school and recommend him to anyone from beginner onwards who wishes to learn Chen Man-Ching style, or improve their taichi to spend some time with him.

It has been a pleasure having Shon at our school and we would be pleased to have him return anytime he can.

In our busy lives, we are often unaware of the tension that builds up in our body. Through Shon's teaching, he has taught me the importance of being soft and relaxed to allow the energy to flow. This has had a ripple effect on everything I do in my daily life. Thank you Shon for your teachings.

I've finished to read the book you recommended "There are no secrets".

I'm glad I persisted in ordering the right book after my initial mistake, I truly enjoyed reading this book, I understand now why you felt so passionate about it.

In more than one occasion I could hear your words while I was reading the book. I would not have been able to enjoy or understand as much of the book without attending your classes.

In the book Wolfe Lowenthal wrote that once Professor Cheng Man-Ch'ing described the path in learning Tai Chi as "laying down a single sheet each day. Each additional sheet seems negligible, but if you persevere over the years and decades a single sheet per day grows into an enormous stack".

I liked this image, and I want to thank you, because after attending your classes I feel that I managed to add a good layer on my personal stack of Tai Chi learning.

Thank you for guiding me on the Tai Chi path. Good luck with your projects, I'll be in contact with you.
